remember, gallup has a list of people who volunteer for their polls, so they are NOT indicative of reality, but of the reality of some folks who always take the polls.
I mean, have YOU ever been called by gallup?  I haven’t…
so when gallup says 44 percent, it’s probably closer to 75-80 percent.
